Sydney Park Strategies
Healing Liquid Landscapes, Public Art Strategy & Interpreting the Landscape, Interpretation Strategy for Sydney Park Stormwater Harvest and Reuse Project.
Turpin +Crawford Studio worked in close conjunction with the City of Sydney and the multi-disciplinary design team lead by Turf Design Studio and Environmental Partnership to develop a Public Art Strategy and an Interpretation Strategy for the Sydney Park Stormwater Harvest and Reuse project Stage 2. The strategies paid close attention to the unique industrial history of the site and existing heritage brickpit chimneys. They developed an integrated approach to landscape, art and interpretation that would reveal the processes of water harvest, purification and reuse in a poetic yet educative manner to foster understanding and custodianship within the local community. Turpin+ Crawford Studio were later commissioned to design the integrated environmental artwork Water Falls for this site.
