Operation Crayweed - Ocean Lovers Festival

A giant ‘Crayweed’ banner was installed at the bottom of the famous Icebergs pool in Bondi as part of the inaugural Ocean Lovers Festival in 2019 . In collaboration with SIMS (Sydney Institute of Marine Science) the two day event in the pool involved live ‘crayweed’ seaweed, in-the-water explanations from marine scientists, submerged ‘Living Seawalls’ panels and the giant ‘Crayweed’ banner designed to be seen from the road above to attract passers by and visitors to the festival. I aimed to raise awareness about ‘Operation Crayweed’ and Living Seawalls, two important underwater marine restoration project.
