Central Park AIR (Artists in Residence)

Turpin+Crawford Studio developed the concept for the temporary public art project Artists In Residence (A.I.R) for the heritage-listed Old Tooths Brewery building within the Fraser’s Property redevelopment site, now known as Central Park.

In collaboration with curator Anne Loxley, the project saw three of Australia’s leading contemporary artists - Brook Andrew, Mikala Dwyer and Caroline Rothwell - ‘take up residence’ with major temporary artworks on the Broadway and Central Park-facing facades and on the top of the heritage chimney.

The project was staged to allow the client to incrementally fund the projects.
