In the Hoist Shaft

You enter the old building to the sound of distant water falling…somewhere. Approaching the disused hoist shaft the sound becomes clearer, and standing tentatively on the newly suspended metal grid you feel the wafts of cool air rising from the water falling invisibly below your feet. It is dark and mysterious below where a water source is dimly visible in the bowels of the building. Nature appears to have intruded on the order of the building, undermining the physical certainty of the architecture.
