Ghost Windows
2001
Ghost Windows
Ghost Windows occupies the space of six, now-hidden colonial windows in Court II of the heritage-listed King Street Supreme Court, Sydney.
Solid panels mimic the outline of the historic windows. As if cut out from the walls, they tilt forward to hang slightly ajar.
Behind the panels, a halo-like light slowly and rhythmically appears and disappears through the ‘cracks’, washing the surrounding surfaces with light. Luminous auras infuse the court with a timeless rhythm - as if the walls themselves were breathing.
